I’m so excited about perfecting my posing after my most recent workshop (see: workshop) that I can’t help but ask for ANOTHER newborn baby for a complimentary session on June 12!
Are you curious about why I ask for a model family instead of using my already booked clients? With a model session I lack the pressure to provide the family with a complete gallery (20-30 pictures) from which to choose their images since it’s been established from the start that the purpose of the session is for my practice. With a practice session, it often takes a bit longer to accomplish what I’m focused on since I am really concentrating on doing it the best way. Therefore I don’t always have a complete gallery at the viewing appointment. However, with my last model session their gallery of images to choose from at their appointment was 17, so it still wasn’t far off 😉
For the last model call (taking place on June 5) and for this one (June 12), my focus will be on 2 things. The first one encompasses the entire session: my workflow. My goal is to find a workflow that works well for me (every well-established newborn photographer has one they recommend and I’ve tried a few). The goal of a workflow is to have poses for the baby that easily transition from one to the next to give me a consistent end result in a reasonable amount of time.
The second focus will be on accomplishing a particular pose that I often have difficulty with. Many photographers claim it’s the easiest pose there is, but for some reason I have the most trouble with it! It’s the pose that I was able to accomplish at the workshop I attended – and now I want to be able to do it without my instructor peeking over my shoulder giving me tips! The image above from the workshop is the pose I speak of 🙂
Of course, there are many other poses that I will be using during the session as well! As I work on the workflow during the session, I’ll be a bit more focused on the minute details that go into making each individual pose just perfect. So, the end results are some beautiful images of your precious newborn that you will cherish forever!
So, just as in the previous model call: to apply for this session, fill out the contact form on the website (here). Once I receive that, I’ll send you the second step (a questionnaire) to complete your application. I so look forward to hearing from all of you!
