We had our baby boy in September and I am just now getting his blog posted. I really took my time getting lots of snuggles with him while he was so small!
One of the advantages of having your own newborn as a subject is that you can photograph him anytime you please. The downfall of photographing your own newborn is that you’re still dealing with all those postpartum emotions while still healing physically. That’s why it took me three days of sessions to capture images of my little man. And weeks beyond that to see that I got good images since I was emotionally involved and the days I tried to photograph him happened to be the only days that I was weepy after delivery . . . But, now I love them and am so glad I took the time and energy to capture them! As you can see, Mason wasn’t always that thrilled about having his picture taken either 🙂
Honestly, I had hoped to get some of specific poses with the little man, but he wasn’t interested in posing and I wasn’t patient enough (see previous paragraph) to get those difficult images. Oh well.
Let me know what you think of the ones I did capture!
love them!!
