FAQ
How do I SCHEDULE A SESSION?
Fill out the form at the link below or call me 978-432-9537. We’ll connect within a few days to discuss how you can prepare for your photo session for the most beautiful outcome. Once you’re ready to reserve your session time, I ask for a signed contract along with the session retainer. Remember, because I truly value each client, I am careful not to book too many sessions close together, so start the process today!
What kind of INVESTMENT do most families make?
I believe enjoying your photographs with tangible art is so valuable, especially in this digital age – your whole family will enjoy seeing themselves showcased on your walls in a way that a screen will never accomplish. That’s why most clients decide to purchase art for their homes through my professional printing labs. They like having the confidence of knowing the images not only look amazing in their homes before even ordering it, but also knowing that it is guaranteed to last for years. Plus, the ease of allowing me to do all the legwork for you means that your time and brainpower can be spent elsewhere.

Do you offer DIGITAL FILES?
The short answer is “yes!” In our world of digital and instant everything, it is important to have the chance to enjoy tangible art that captures these precious moments forever. However, I know we all love the convenience of electronic access, so I include a replacement sized digital file of each portrait ordered. I also offer high resolution digital files for sale.
When do I get to see my images?
After your session, we’ll meet again (online or in person, your choice) and review your images together to choose your favorites. We’ll take a look at your images on your walls so that you can be confident that they will look amazing! Timing varies on this based on schedules, but we’ll schedule this appointment when scheduling your photo session date too.
When should you schedule a NEWBORN SESSION?
The best time to contact me to schedule your session is sometime in your second or third trimester. While the actual date of the session will depend on when baby arrives (the ideal time to photograph a newborn is between 5-14 days old), scheduling well in advance of your due date ensures you will have my time and attention when the day comes. Because I value each client so much, I am careful not to book too many sessions with due dates close together.
How long is a newborn session?
Sessions generally last between 2 and 3 hours, but can last as long as 4 hours depending on the baby and how much attention he/she needs. Don’t worry though, I will help coach you with just the right information and advice in advance of the session so that you can be prepared, relaxed, and to maximize our chances of a happy baby.
Should I circumcise my baby boy before my NEWBORN session?
If you have a boy and are planning to circumcise him, please note that we will schedule his newborn session either before the circumcision or at least 5 days after. In the days immediately after his circumcision, while he is still healing, he is less likely to be happy (surprising, I know!) and that makes it much more difficult to get the type of images you would want.
Do you offer MATERNITY SESSIONS and when is the best time to schedule mine?
Yes! If you’d like to schedule a maternity (portrait session) session in addition to your newborn session, the best time to schedule it is sometime between 28-36 weeks, depending on how you carry. You’re aiming for that period of time when your belly is nice and round, but you’re still feeling good. Let me know when you think that might be and we’ll capture this miracle growing inside you!
What should I wear for maternity photos?
I know you’re concerned about how you’ll look in your images – everything about your body is so different than what you’re used to; but believe me, you look beautiful and we’ll be sure to capture that! You should wear clothing that you feel and look good in, whether that’s some of your own clothes or the outfits I have available in the studio. Undergarments may be the most important thing for you to be considering for this session – especially a nude colored strapless bra and thong underwear. We’ll discuss in greater detail what you should be thinking of for the session in our pre-consultation conversation as well.

“I wasn’t sure whether I would like a maternity session or not because pregnancy can make you feel kind of fluffy sometimes. But I am SO glad that we did them… We got to freeze a special moment in time and I got to feel so beautiful looking back at these images she captured! I have felt more confident since this photo session for sure!”
